SAFETY AT STOOD UP

Meet new people.
Keep safety first.

Useful tools and practical habits to help you make more informed decisions before, during, and after a meetup.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Safety tools built into the app.

01

Profile verification

Profiles may complete identity or profile verification. A verification indicator is an additional signal, not a guarantee of someone’s conduct.

02

Blocking and reporting

Block users you do not want to interact with. Report suspicious, abusive, or unsafe behaviour for review.

03

Account moderation

Reports can lead to review and appropriate restrictions, including suspension or removal.

04

Meeting place search

Explore suggested meeting places when arranging an activity. Choose a public and familiar location.

05

Privacy choices

Control when you are available and the distance within which you discover people.

06

Support

Use the in-app support experience to raise account or safety concerns, including from restricted-account screens.

Before meeting someone

  • Choose a public location with other people nearby.
  • Take time to review the profile and confirm the plan.
  • Do not send money, financial details, passwords, or verification codes to another user.
  • Tell a trusted person where you are going and how long you expect to stay.
  • Arrange your own transportation and have a way to leave.

During and after your meetup

  • Trust your judgment. You may leave a meetup at any time.
  • Keep personal information private until you are comfortable sharing it.
  • Use blocking and reporting tools when something feels wrong.
  • If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Important: Verification, reports, and moderation reduce some risks but cannot guarantee identity, safety, or behaviour. Stood Up is not an emergency service.
